 Healthy Banana Waffles

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pinch cinnamon 
1 cup 1% milk (or milk substitute like coconut or almond milk)
1 egg
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 small handful chopped walnuts, optional
DIRECTIONS:
1.Preheat waffle iron. In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir in milk, mashed bananas, and eggs until mixture is smooth. Add walnuts if desired. 
2.Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour 1/2 cup of the waffle batter onto the hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot.
